Scam warning: Email from 'traffic police' about parking fine is fake


The Singapore Police has issued a warning about an email purportedly from the Traffic Police, informing the recipients to pay a parking fine.

In a statement on Monday, the police said the fake email includes a link to a website and a phone number to call where the recipients can pay their fine using a credit card.

Members of the public may call the anti-scam helpline at 1800 722 6688 or go to www.scamalert.sg for scam-related advice.
