How to eat fruits correctly - updated

1) Why proper digestion of food is important

Digestion is important for breaking down food into nutrients, which the body uses for energy, growth, and cell repair. Food and drink must be changed into smaller molecules of nutrients before the blood absorbs them and carries them to cells throughout the body.

Healthy food choices are very important, but those nutritious foods would not do you much good at all and could actually be the source of all sorts of health problems if you are not digesting them properly.

Even if nutrition is a high priority for you and you spend considerable time and effort (and money) eating fresh, organic, nutrient-dense foods and taking daily vitamins, you may not be absorbing the nutrients that your body desperately needs to stay healthy. You may be passing these essential nutrients right out of your body through your urine and stools. In fact, many people have dysfunctional digestive systems and do not even know it.


2) Why you may not have a good digestion system

1. Enzyme deficiency or imbalance in guy flora (bacteria).
2. Deficiency in stomach acid or protease enzymes that will inhibit your ability to break down proteins.


3) So how to help your digestion system?

Simple. Eat food that aids in your digestion.

All vegetables with seeds are actually fruits
All fruits, vegetables that are actually fruits like tomatoes, pumpkins, chili, peppers, etc, can help in proper digestion. Any vegetable that has seed is actually a fruit. Any food that is sour will also help in digestion too. You may have noticed that all fruits are sour when they are not ripe.

Drinks like tea, coffee, vinegar, probiotics (yogurts) and fermented food will also help in proper digestion.


4) Correct way to eat fruits


Eat at least half a serving of any fruit (or dried fruits) after a meal, even a light meal. You can drink tea, coffee or fruit juice during the meal in place of fruit, like during afternoon tea break.

If your meal consists of fermented vegetables, then there is no need to eat fruits after the meal.

But of course, you can eat more fruits if you want. The important part is to eat fruit or any food that helps proper digestion in every meal.
